BEAVER CREEK
January 28 - February 4, 2006

Twenty fabulously lucky JSC members arrived in Beaver Creek to a home cooked meal of chicken noodle soup, chili, salad, bread and brownies to start a great week of skiing.

This trip was so great we had people complaining about there being too much snow!!
If you were looking for fresh powder this was the week to be skiing. We had at least 5 to 12 inches of new snow each day. The die-hard skiers thought this was wonderful. Learning to ski in powder was a must. Our fair weather, groom-loving skiers had a more difficult time. Although the sun didn’t shine on our trip, many of us got in 5 or 6 day’s. Beaver Creek has so much to offer and our lift tickets were good for Vail, Breckenridge and Keystone but most of us stayed and enjoyed the great conditions, eating at the many “on mountain” restaurants and shopping in Beaver Creek Village.

Staying at the Deluxe Highlands Lodge was exceptional, this ski-in-ski out property, with boot heaters in the ski locker room, hot tubs and swimming pool with a cappuccino/hot cocoa machine was luxury at its finest. Check out our “Snow Angels” Jim Werner, Mel Williams, and Craig Smith, poolside with a group of onlookers from JSC.
