Have An Exciting Season Ahead There are a few committees that need your help this
season. Listed below is information to help you decide which committee
may be of most interest to you: Monthly socials - people are needed to help find good locations for gatherings, select menus, negotiate food and drink prices, find sponsorships, and think up new ideas for meeting themes and activities. Other events (parties, picnics, bike rides, concerts, etc.) - with the help of the JSC Board, members are invited to plan and run or just suggest any kind of social event or outing that grabs your interest. If you have an idea, let us know! If you'd like to help out or if you can make any recommendations regarding events and meeting locations, or ideas for interesting things to do at our gatherings, contact events@skiclub.org. TRIP SELECTION COMMITTEE 2011-2012 Do you have an opinion? Would you like to be involved in planning where the Jacksonville Ski Club goes in the 2011 season? Corky Kegebein, Vice President of Trips, is looking for interested skiers to help choose trips for the 2011-2012 ski season. Committee work would begin in November. Your duties would include discussing pros and cons of various ski destinations, researching and talking to tour providers, reviewing bids and preparing a final list of recommended dates and ski destinations to the JSC Board of Directors. Contact Corky at trips@skiclub.org. MARKETING COMMITTEE We are always looking for fun, cost effective ideas to spread the word about the Jacksonville Ski Club. Volunteers are what keep this club alive. Even if you only have a couple hours a season to contribute, we'd still love to hear from you. Whether you’re new to the club or a veteran member, assisting with the membership committee can be very rewarding. It’s a great way to meet new people, as we interact with everyone in the club. The membership committee welcomes volunteers who would like to serve as greeters at events or brainstorm on fun new ways to increase membership and spread the word about the Jacksonville Ski Club.
