other JSC skiers and more than 300 other folks from ski clubs
across the country as we convene in Ogden for a great week of
skiing
and experiencing all that this great destination has to offer.
Ogden receives upwards of 400 inches of snow annually and
boasts not one, but two
great ski mountains for you to enjoy.
LODGING: Deluxe Guest Room at the
Marriott Hotel in downtown Ogden. Complete with all the
amenities you come to expect from a Marriott property, this
hotel is also smoke-free. All rooms come with coffee makers
and complimentary coffee and tea. There is free high-speed
internet in each guestroom. The hotel is also within walking
distance of historic 25th Street featuring unique restaurants,
bars, shopping, and more.
MOUNTAIN FACTS: Snowbasin Resort
- Skiing Magazine’s 2007 rankings of resorts put Snowbasin, a
Sun Valley Resort, in its top ten while SKI Magazine’s
readers’ survey named it third overall in service, second in
on-mountain food and first for lifts. Nearly 3,000 vertical
feet on over 2,800 acres of varied terrain serviced by 12
lifts including two high-speed gondolas providing a capacity
of 14,500 skiers per hour: 7% novice, 29% intermediate, 34%
expert and 30% expert only. The resort features a superpipe,
three terrain parks and a tubing hill. Make sure you take time
for lunch at any of the three lodges. Powder Mountain
- In the October 2006 issue of SKI Magazine, readers
ranked Powder Mountain the number one resort for snow and also
for value. Located just 19 miles northeast of Ogden, Powder
Mountain, at 5,500 acres, boasts more acreage than any other
resort in the U.S. There are 2,100 feet of vertical terrain
serviced by 7 lifts and snowcats: 10% novice, 50% intermediate
and 40% expert.

PAYMENTS: Deposits and payments are
accepted by check made payable to: Jacksonville Ski Club.
DEPOSIT: $400 per person payable at
time of booking. Second payment: $500 per person due by Nov.
7th. Balance due: Dec. 7th.
Late payment fee is $50 per person and applies
to both the second payment and balance due.
CANCELLATION FEES: prior to Oct. 7, $50
per person; Oct. 7 to Nov. 7, $400 per person; after Nov. 7,
nonrefundable. Cancellations must be received in writing to
the Trip Leader. Trip cancellation/travel insurance is
available and strongly recommended.
DEVIATIONS & CHANGES: result in
additional costs of $50 per person plus any difference in
cost.
